Yuvaraja’s College was established in the year 1928 in Mysore, Karnataka. It is a private autonomous college. The College is affiliated to the University of Mysore and is accredited by NAAC-A.

Yuvaraja’s College, Mysore offers various UG and PG courses under its curriculum viz. BSc/ BCA/ BBA/ MSc/ Integrated MSc/ MA/ MBA and Ph.D. Each UG course is of 3 years duration and each PG course is of 2 years duration except Integrated MSc which is of 5 years duration.

Application form is provided at the college’s office and candidates have to collect it in person by paying the application fee.
Those who have passed 10+2/ PUC in science stream from a recognized Board are eligible to get admission in BSc program, whereas applicants who have passed the Pre-University examination in any stream are considered eligible to get admission in BBA program.
For BCA minimum eligibility criteria is pass in PUC/ 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.
Students who hold BSc or equivalent degree are considered eligible to get admission in MSc program, for MA course candidates with BA or equivalent degree from a recognized University are eligible for admission.
Similarly, candidates who have Bachelor’s Degree in any specialization are eligible to get admission in MBA program.
Candidates with Post-Graduate Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University are eligible to apply for admission to the Ph.D. program.
Selection of the candidates for UG programs is done on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination as per the norms of the University of Mysore.
Admission to PG courses is given based on the student’s marks obtained in Bachelor’s Degree course.
Admission to Ph.D. program is granted as per the candidate’s merit in PG degree course and marks obtained in interview round conducted by the University of Mysore.

Under Graduate courses offered by the college are BSc/ BBA/ BCA of 3 years duration.

Applicants who have passed 2 years of Pre-University Examination in Science stream conducted by the Pre-University Board of Examination or any other equivalent examination are eligible to get admission in BSc course.

Those who have passed 10+2 or PUC or equivalent qualifying examination and have studied Mathematics are considered eligible to get admission in BCA program. For BBA Admission minimum eligibility criteria is pass in 10+2/ PUC or equivalent examination in Commerce stream from a recognized Board.

Admission to any UG course is given on the basis of candidate’s merit in the qualifying examination. Admission against 50% seats in each course is given through General admission and the remaining 50% are filled under self-financing scheme (PSFS).

Candidates are shortlisted as per their merit and they are called for counselling process for the allotment of seat.
Those who have opted for Botany, Zoology, and Biotechnology in BSc must have studied Biology in the Pre-University course.
Applicants may select Earth Science and Resource Management even if they have not studied the same in the qualifying examination.
Candidates opting for Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science must have studied Mathematics in addition to Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
20% seats are under the partial self-financing scheme.
50% seats are under fully self-financing scheme in Biotechnology.
BBA is run under self-finance scheme.

Yuvaraja’s College offers Integrated MSc/ MSc/ MA/ MBA courses each of 2 years duration except Integrated MSc course as it is of 5 years duration.

Students who have passed BSc course or have an equivalent degree from a recognized University are eligible to apply for MSc admission, whereas for MA program candidates with BA or equivalent degree in relevant discipline are considered eligible.

Similarly, for MBA program candidates with BBA or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University are eligible.

Reservation

The college offers 15% reservation to the SC candidates, 3% seats are reserved for ST and 4% seats are reserved for Category-I candidates. 15% seats are reserved for Foreign/ NRI students and one seat in each course is kept for students from other Universities.

Scholarship

Yuvaraja’s College provides post-metric, metric scholarships, a Special scholarship to physically handicapped students, candidates who are the ward of defense personnel and provide free student scholarship to the students who belong to Category-I/ II-A/ II-B/ III-A/ III-B.
