Application form and Prospectus for M.Phil. (FT/PT) and Ph.D. (FT/PT) programs can be downloaded from the Bharathiar University’s official website.  Here are the steps to download the application form:

1. Go to the official website of Bharathiar University. (Link Above)
2. Click on ‘Academic’ tab and click on ‘Research Programs’.
3. Now, click on the form that you need to download.
4. The form will open in a pdf format, save it and take a print out of it.
5. Finally, fill the form carefully after going through all the instructions.

Application Fee:

• Cost of Application for M.Phil. - Rs.500/-
• Cost of Application for Ph.D. - Rs. 600/-

Payment Methods:

The above said application fees payable in the form of Demand Draft (from any nationalized bank) / Challan (Bank of India) shall be drawn in favor of the ‘The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore’ and made payable in ‘Coimbatore’.(Name of the candidate should be furnished at the back side of the DD).

Note:

• If a candidate applies for more than one college, he/she has to pay the cost of application Rs.500/- for M.Phil. And Rs.600/- for Ph.D. program for each application.
• The Application form consists of two copies (First Copy and Second Copy).

For admission to university departments:

First copy (without any enclosures) has to be sent to The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46 and second copy (all attested Xerox copies of testimonials from 10th standard onwards along with original Demand Draft) has to be sent to the HOD of the concerned Department of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46.

For admission to affiliated colleges of Bharathiar University/ Approved Research Institute:

First copy with original Demand Draft (without any enclosures) has to be sent to The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46 and second copy (all attested Xerox copies of testimonials from 10th standard onwards) has to be sent to the Principal / Director of concerned College / Institution.

The filled in applications should reach to the University and concerned college on or before September 15, 2016 at 5.00 pm

Candidate willing to take admission in Ph.D. program must have passed post-graduation in a rlevant stream from a recognized university

Entrance Exam:

Aspiring students should have completed SLET/NET successfully or complete Common Entrance Test Conducted by Bharathiyar University.

Duration:

For full time program, 3 year + 2 year extended research work.
