Important Updates for JNTUH College of Engineering} }

JNTU College of Engineering Hyderabad accepts TS EAMCET for admission to BTech/ BE courses. TS EAMCET counselling schedule has been released by TSCHE. Candidates having a valid TS EAMCET 2023 score can register for counselling from June 26, 2023 to July 05, 2023. The round one seat allotment for TS EAMCET will be released on July 12, 2023. The round 2 counselling registration can be done on July 21 and July 22. TS EAMCET Round 2 seat allotment will be released on July 28.

JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad is a constituent college of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The college was initially established as Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College in 1965. However, initially the college was affiliated to Osmania University but later became a constituent college under JNTU, Hyderabad in 1972.

JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad imparts educational programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate. The college also offers integrated level programs focusing on the field of Engineering and Technology. It also offers a three-year MCA and a two-year M.Sc program along with two five-year Integrated programs.

Admission are made as per the rules / guidelines prescribed by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and JNTUH.
Admission in the B.Tech program is done through a common entrance test called EAMCET.
Candidates seeking admission to the MCA program will have to appear in TS ICET.
Admission to the M.Tech and M.Sc programs are done through PGECET / GATE.

JNTU College of Engineering Hyderabad B.Tech Admission 2023

At undergraduate level, JNTU College of Engineering offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree program to the aspiring candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The B.Tech program is offered for four years. The intake capacity is 60 seats for each specialization.

Admission to the four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) program is done on the basis of rank secured in the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by the Govt. of Telangana State. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can only apply for the B.Tech course in this college.

JNTU College of Engineering Hyderabad M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc Admission 2023

At postgraduate level, JNTU College of Engineering offers Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Science (M.Sc) degree programs to the aspiring candidates. The duration period for the M.Tech and M.Sc programs is two years whereas the MCA program is of three years. The M.Tech program is provided with 16 different specializations and the M.Sc program is offered under four different specializations. The intake capacity depends upon the nature of specializations. The college also offers M.Tech and M.Sc programs on part-time basis for the working professionals.

Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech need to appear in GATE. Apart from the entrance test, the candidate must have qualified his / her Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline with minimum required marks.

Apart from GATE, admission to the M.Tech program is also done through TS PGECET counseling conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.

JNTU College of Engineering Hyderabad Integrated Program Admission 2023

JNTU College of Engineering also offers two Integrated Dual Degree programs in the field of Engineering and Business Administration. Both the programs are offered under multiple specializations with the duration period of five years.

Admission to the five-year Integrated Dual Degree program (IDP) leading to B.Tech.+M.Tech./MBA is based on TS EAMCET counseling conducted by the Convener, Admission, TS EAMCET.

Candidates need to fill up the application form ONLINE at the website.
Application fees has to paid ONLINE through net-banking or credit/debit card.
Application fees for GEN/OBC candidates is Rs. 500/- and for SC/ST candidates is Rs. 250/-.
For Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Non Resident Indians (NRI): The filled in application form along with all necessary documents (in A4 Size) and a crossed Demand Draft drawn from any Nationalized Bank for Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) in favour of “THE REGISTRAR (UFR account) JNT UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD”, payable at Hyderabad, should reach the “Director, University Foreign Relations, 2 nd Floor, Administrative Building, JNTUH, Kukatpally, Hyderabad - 500 085”.

What is the difference between JNTUH and JNTUH CEH?

Having to know some people studying in both these institutions, I can state some details about the colleges I got to know from them. There are some key differences between JNTUH and JNTUH CEH.

JNTUH stands for Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad whereas JNTUH CEH stands for Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad- College of Engineering.

JNTUH is an autonomous university and just like any other university, it follows its rules.
They also update their courses regularly as per the needs of the students.
JNTUH CEH is an autonomous college referred to as University College by most students.
JNTUH CEH is mainly for technical branches and studies related to it.
The University College is under the management and jurisdiction of JUNUH.
Jawaharlal Nehru University provides affiliation to various other Engineering and Pharmacy Institutions.

Also the JNTU- H is commonly used to differentiate between the main and the sister universities like JNTUK is for Kakinada, JNTUA is for Anantapur. It is differentiated by the post letter after the main institute’s name.

What is the average and highest package of JNTUH and Osmania University I want to take up CSE course?

The average and highest package offered to students can vary from year to year, depending on various factors such as the current job market, the performance of the students, and the reputation of the institutions.

Both JNTUH and Osmania University are reputed institutions for Computer Science and Engineering courses, and their students have secured good placements in the past. The average package offered to CSE graduates from these institutions can range from 3 to 10 lakhs per annum, while the highest package can go up to 20 lakhs or more per annum, depending on the company and the job profile.

While a good package is important, it's not the only factor to consider when choosing a college or course. Other factors such as the quality of education, faculty, infrastructure, and opportunities for research and innovation should also be considered.

Which is better: CUSAT or JNTU Hyderabad?

CUSAT and JNTU Hyderabad, both the colleges are good. I have few friends at both, so I can give you some insight into them.

JNTU Hyderabad is a reputed institute. According to the placement report which is given by the college companies like TCS, Wipro, cognizant, etc visits the campus.
CUSAT is a better choice than JNTU Hyderabad. As in CUSAT, you would get a lot of exposure. The facilities are up to the mark even though it is not much of a luxurious college.
You will get a proper atmosphere to learn and as far as the study is concerned you will get adequate material here for study purposes. The library facilities are good and it is quite large. You will also get adequate facilities for games and sports.
The campus placement of CUSAT also holds a better record than that of JNTU Hyderabad. For better placement, you have to work hard and pass the exams. As the syllabus and whole curriculum are a bit tougher than that of JNTU Hyderabad. Also, the ranking of CUSAT is higher than that of JNTU Hyderabad.

So, it’s better to go for CUSAT.
