Chinmaya Arts and Science College for Women (CASCW) was named under the great Swami Chinmayananda who was born in Balan, and was a teacher and Hindu spiritual leader. The college runs under “Chinmaya Mission” which was established in 1951. Chinmaya Mission offers education through Chinmaya Vision Program which helps in integrating the best culture with academic excellence. The college was established in 2003. The Chinmaya Mission also has established some more institutes; some of them are Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Chinmaya Institute of Technology, which is also under the same campus.
