TIST accepts BE/BTech admission as per KEAM Score. KEAM 2023 result has been released on June 19, 2023. The counselling schedule will be out soon.


Toc H Institute of Science and Technology (TIST) an institution in Kerala has 12 academic departments which offer admission in B.Tech, MBA & M.Tech. Admissions are based on entrance exam scores. 

The applications are available online for both entrance exams and admissions. Further, details have been elaborated below:

  • For B.Tech admissions the candidates must produce a valid KEAM score along with scores obtained in 10+2.
  • MBA admission is based on scores in CAT/ CMAT/KMAT-Kerala, followed by performance in GD & PI. Students must have a valid bachelor’s degree as well.
  • For M.Tech admission the student’s GATE score will be taken into consideration. Along with scores in BE or B.Tech.

TIST came into existence in 2002. The college is approved by AICTE as well as by the Government of Kerala. Apart from this, the college is accredited by NAAC and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). 

Most of its programs are NBA accredited, In terms of placements, around 307 students in leading MNCs have been offered recruitments to the batch of 2019 till date.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for admission for the B.Tech degree Course will be as per the guidelines of the Government of Kerala & KTU.

  • A candidate should be of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2022.
  • Needs to have an aggregate 50% marks in PCM.
  • Students having NRI Quota won’t be evaluated based on KEAM, but an average 70% marks for PCM in the qualifying examination is desirable.

  • A candidate needs to attend the counseling after clearing KEAM to secure a seat. 
  • Seat allotment is based on DTE Kerala Counselling.

How to Apply for KEAM 2023?

  • A candidate is required to fill the application form released by CEE (cee.kerala.gov.in)
  • The eligible candidates have the option to register themselves and obtain login credentials.
  • After that, candidates should be punctilious in filling the details.
  • Those who come under the reservation category are required to upload the documents at the time of registration along with photograph and signature.
  • Confirmation page of the online application must be kept for future reference.
  • The candidate should select the course(s) which he/she desires to study while applying online.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for admission for the B.Tech lateral entry as per the guidelines of the Government of Kerala & KTU:

  • The candidate must be an Indian and age must not exceed 30 years.
  • Must hold a Regular 3-year Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by any State Board of Technical Education or Govt. of India Institutions. 
  • Those who are appearing/appeared for the final year diploma examinations are also eligible to apply subject to the condition that they will produce the qualifying certificate at the time of admission.

The candidate should have obtained a rank in LET 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate needs to present BE/ B.Tech Degree in the relevant discipline or AMIE with 6.5CGPA or 60% (55% for SC/ST/ PEDs). 
  • Minimum marks of 55% for the section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination, and a minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of specialization after getting the B.Tech. or equivalent degree.

Selection Criteria

  • All GATE qualified candidates should primarily register for DTE Kerala Counselling.
  • The seat allotment will be reflected on the merit list published on the official website.

How to apply for an M.Tech Program?

  • Register for the examination via online medium
  • Choose the “Apply Online" available on the official TIST website
  • Fill in the details and click submit. You will receive a login id and password in the registered email id
  • Fill your personal information. Contact the concerned authorities for further formalities
  • Any misleading detail will lead to disqualification

How to Apply for GATE?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

  • Scanned photograph and signature 
  • Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
  • Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
  • Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
  • Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
  • Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
  • Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
  • Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

  • 15% for general category, 
  • 10% for SEBC and 
  • 7.5% for SC/ST 

How to Apply for CAT?

  • A candidate is required to register on the official website of CAT.
  • Then enter all the personal details ranging from your contact information to exam center preference. Make sure not to provide any bogus detail as this will lead to application rejection.
  • Scan and upload all the required documents according to the mentioned dimensions and file type.
  • If the candidate fills in all the information in the desired manner, then the application status will turn to “Successfully Submitted” or else it will be rejected.
  • Then pay the required application fee and download the admit card once available on the website.

How to Apply for an MBA?

The application process is offline for MBA admission. 

  • Applications can be submitted via mail.
  • Students can download the application form from the website.
  • They must fill in the relevant personal details and educational qualifications.

Ques. How is the paper divided for KMAT-Kerala?

Ans. There are a total of 180 questions, divided into four main sections:
  • English Language & Reading Comprehension: 50 questions
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions
  • Data Sufficiency & Logical Reasoning: 40 questions
  • General Knowledge & Contemporary Business Scenario: 40 questions

Ques. What type of accommodation facility is available for the students?

Ans. A separate and secure in-campus hostel facility is available to the students, and it can accommodate 700 students. And the rent and mess charge is INR 4000, and the caution deposit that you need to pay is INR 10000, which is a one-time and refundable.

Ques. How does the Student Council of the institute allow students to enhance their confidence?
