In Person:

Candidates can obtain the Application Form in person from the 60 centres (detailed on Anna University’s official website) by paying Rs.500/-(Rs.250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, on production of a photocopy of the Permanent Community Card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) towards application fee, by cash/demand draft.

By Post:

Application Forms can also be obtained by post from "The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), Anna University, Chennai-600025" by sending a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- (Rs.450/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu with a photocopy of the Permanent Community Card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application form is to be mailed

The candidates can also register through internet by logging on to www.annauniv.edu/tnea2015; the procedure for registration is available in the website. All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions” payable at Chennai, drawn on any Nationalised Bank dated on or after 05th May 2015

Candidates are instructed to write the name and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:-

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least the minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put together category wise

Minimum Eligibility Marks:-

General Category (OC):-45% marks in aggregate

BC/BCM/MBC/DNC/SC/SCA/ST Category:-40% marks in aggregate

Diploma:-

Candidates who have passed 10+3 or 12+2 years Diploma / B.Sc (any stream) Examination recognized by Central / State Governments with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

General Category (OC):-55 % aggregate in all Semester marks put together

BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST Category”-BC - 50 % aggregate in all Semester marks put together MBC / SC - 45 % aggregate in all Semester marks put together

Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
The aspirant should have completed a minimum of 55% marks in PCM (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).

Thangavelu Engineering College UG programs (BE, B.Tech, B.Arch) Selection Criteria:

Candidates, who have registered on Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2020, have to wait for the merit list.
The final admission is only through the counseling process based on the rank obtained in the 12th exam.
The university itself scrutinizes the application forms.
The university publishes a merit/rank list after studying all the application forms.
Candidates will have to select the college during the counseling.
Selected candidates will be informed through a call and they need to report at the college for admission along with their documents.
