Sinhgad Institute of Technology and Science offers B.E programs in 5 specializations. Students seeking admission in B.E. should have passed Higher Secondary Examination with at least 50% marks together in Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject as one of the optional subjects.
For getting direct admission to Lateral Entry, the candidates should have passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma course in Engineering/Technology with at least 45% marks in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from an AICTE approved institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.
Admission is done on the basis of rank/score in MHT CET or JEE Main. After the counselling round, the admissions are done at institute level or based on vacant seats.

Key points regarding B.E Admission:
- The eligibility criteria remain the same for J & K Migrant candidates. However, they are admitted based on DTE of Maharashtra State Percentages of seats are allocated to the candidates as per the test.
- For Maharashtra State candidates, 65% of seats are allotted. All India candidates are allotted 15% of seats. The institute level seats for all candidates are 20%.
- Candidates who possess a B.Sc. Degree from a UGC/Association of recognized Indian Universities with at least 45% marks is also eligible for Lateral Entry admission.
- 5% relaxation is marks are provided to candidates of backward class and Physically Handicapped belonging to Maharashtra state.
