SCOE provides one specialization under its MBA course. Candidates interested in applying should have a Bachelor’s degree in any field, with 50% marks. They must take the CAT, MAT or MAH-CET followed by an interview conducted by PUMBA to be selected.

How to apply for MAH-CET?

Candidates who wish to study MBA at SCOE have to take the MAH-CET for admission. The steps to register for the entrance test are given below:

Visit the official website.
Access the application form by clicking on the provided link
Go to “Apply online”
Read the instructions and click “Apply Now”
After submitting the required details, the application number of the candidate will be created.
Upload scanned photograph and signature
Fill out the form
A fee of 1,000 INR will be charged for general applicants, which is to be paid online.
For verification and confirmation of form for admission, you must visit the designated facilitation centre on the given date.
NRI/PIO/OCI/CIWGC/FN candidates should send the print of online-filled and submitted application form and copy of uploaded documents by hand or courier to the ‘Director, College of Engineering, Wellesley Road, Shivajinagar, Pune- 411005’.

How to Apply for CAT?

Candidates who wish to enrol for the MBA course have to take the CAT. The steps to apply for the test are given below:

Visit the official website.
Click on “Registration” for new users.
Read the given instructions.
Fill in the necessary details to generate OTP.
Enter the OTP and validate it.
Check ‘I Agree’ and submit the CAT application form.
After submitting the details, a message will be sent to the registered mobile number containing the password, and an email will be sent containing the user ID.
After the registration is complete, a unique login ID and password will be generated.
Click on ‘Go to Application Form’ to fill out the CAT application form.

How to Apply for MAT?

Candidates who wish to enrol for the MBA course at SCOE may take the MAT. The steps for applying for the test are listed underneath:

Visit the official website.
Click on ‘fresh candidate’.
Fill in the details to create a Login. You must have a valid email ID for applying online.
You will receive a confirmation for registration on your email ID.
Login with the registered ID and complete the MAT application form.
Fill out the details.
Save the details by click on ‘Save’
Upload a recent passport size photograph and signature.
Pay the fee online via debit card, credit card, Net banking or Paytm. The fee for one examination is 1,550 INR. For two examinations it is 2,650 INR.

How to Apply for Counselling (CAP):

Candidates who have appeared for MAH-CET/MAT/CAT will be able to directly login through their registration details
The counselling fee is INR 2,000 for general category candidates.
The admission and seat allotment process for MAH-CET is conducted through CAP.
Candidates are required to submit the online application at designated centres on pre-notified dates.

Candidates can fill their choice of institutes and courses in decreasing order of preference.

VIIT, Pune offers a BTech, while Singhgad offers a BE program for CSE. VIIT, Pune is ranked 155 for BTech by NIRF. Whereas, Singhgad is ranked 138 for BTech by TOI 2020.

Faculty:

VIIT, Pune has more than 25 faculties for the CSE department and most of them have 10 years of experience in teaching as well as the research field. On the other hand, the department of CSE/IT Singhgad (Pune, Wadgaon) have more than 10 well-qualified teaching staff.

Infrastructure:

The Infrastructure of the CSE department of VIIT is really very good as compared to Singhgad. CSE department of VIIT has established industry-sponsored laboratories such as GSE-RER, ICC (Infosys campus connect), and CISCO networking academy by CISCO.

Admission process:

VIIT Pune and Singhgad follow the same admission process.

Eligibility- The students should have 60-65% marks in both 10th and +2 science with PCM for the general category and there is 5% relaxation in marks for reserved candidates.

Entrance score- The candidates who want to take B.Tech admission in VIIT and Singhad need to have a valid JEE- Main score and MHT-CET score. In 2019 the JEE Main closing cutoff for CSE at the institutes was 2648 (VIIT), Singhgad (5104).

The annual course fee for CSE at VIIT is 1.5 lakh and at Sinhgad it is 1.24 lakhs for the same.

Placements:

As of 2019 in VIIT Pune, the highest CTC received by the students of CSE was 15 LPA and the lowest was 2.4 LPA.
Singhgad also provides good placement for CSE students. In 2019 the highest and average CTC at the institute was 8 lakhs and 2.5 lakh.

The major recruiters at both of these institutes are Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, TCS, etc.

Both the institutes are well-reputed and offer decent CSE programs. So, choose the institute according to your convenience.

Sinhgad College of Engineering, Punehas a Centralised Placement and Training Cell. The cell consists of a group of members that are dedicated to providing the students with the best recruitment opportunities. The cell is also responsible for the training of the students prior to the recruitment process. Practice interviews, group discussions, and aptitude tests are conducted by the cell to prepare the students for the recruitment process according to the current industry standards.

Highest package offered is 17 Lakh and the average package stands at 2.5Lakh, while the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Around 20% of students got placed in mechanical while others are placed in IT companies.

Tata is the top recruiting company with the highest salary package. The recruiting companies that visit the campus are Accenture, Ambuja Cement , Atos, Berger Paints, Bosch Ltd , CapGemini , Cybage , Emerson Electric , Flipkart ,GODREJ , HDFC Mutual Fund , Hexaware Technologies, to mention a few.
