SHM Engineering College, Kollam was started by the Kadakkal Educational Trust in 2002. The institute is approved by AICTE (New Delhi) and affiliated to University of Kerala. It is sitauated on a 25 acre site amidst the town of Kadakkal, 30 km from nearest Railway Station of Varkala.
