Around 65% of the seats are for students who are admitted through TNEA counseling based on HSC scores. And, 35% of seats are reserved for students taking admission through the management quota for undergraduate admissions.

M.E admissions are offered to those students who qualify either TANCET or GATE. The students are eligible if they have 50% in B.E/B.Tech in a relevant discipline of study. Applications are accepted through TANCA, for both admissions and counseling.

For MBA admissions students must qualify either CAT/MAT/CMAT/TANCET and have an undergraduate degree with 50% would be eligible to apply for admissions. Applications are accepted through TANCA, for MBA counseling.

Postgraduate admissions have 50% of the seats reserved for students who get admissions through TANCA counseling. The other 50% of the seats are reserved for students who get admitted through the management quota.

Around 283 students were placed in 23 reputed companies, during the recent placement drive for 2019-20 pass-outs at SCE.

Must have a bachelor’s in B.E/B.Tech in a relevant subject with 50% to be eligible for admission. Also, students who are GATE qualified will be given preference over those who are not, to fill the vacant seats after the first two rounds.

M.E Admission Process

Students who qualify for the GATE exam can also apply through TANCA for admissions.

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

Ques. How are admissions offered at SCE College of Engineering? What all courses are offered?

Ans. The admissions are based on entrance scores and on merit followed by state counseling. At present, SCE offers B.E, B.Tech, M.E and MBA courses for admission.

Ans. For B.E and B.Tech admissions, the students are offered admission based on merit that is, score obtained in HSC (which is accepted from Tamil Nadu students only). This is followed by TNEA counseling.

Admission to the M.E program is offered on the basis of GATE or TANCET scores. Counseling is through TANCA.

Ans. According to the state admission policy, the following is the break-up of the percentage number of seats:

Undergraduate Admissions

65% is for students who are admitted through TNEA counseling based on HSC scores.
35% is reserved for students taking admission through the management quota.
5% of students who are admitted according to AICTE’s fee waiver scheme, on the basis of merit-cum-means.
20% of seats are reserved for lateral entry students, taking admission in the second year.

Postgraduate Admissions

50% of the seats are for those who get admissions through TANCA counseling.
The other 50% of seats are reserved for students who get admitted through the management quota.
