Eligibility Criteria
- Pass in 10+2 examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology/Electronics as recognized by V.T.U.
- Minimum 45% aggregate in Science. (40% for SC/ST and other OBC students applicable to Karnataka students).
Selection Criteria
Admission is through counselling based on the rank/ score obtained in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and COMED-K conducted by Karnataka examination authority. Only qualified candidates with a valid rank will be able to participate in KCET 2020 Counselling.
Key Points for BE Admission:
- 50% of the total seats will be filled through KCET.
- 25% of the total seats will be filled through COMED-K and the remaining 25% will be filled through management quota.
- Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ ST category get a relaxation of 10% marks in the aggregate score.
Steps of KCET 2020 Counselling
- 3 rounds of counselling namely – Verification, Option entry, Allotment of Seats takes place.
- To simplify the counselling stages there is a rank wise division of dates/time slots to visit the helpline centres for the verification of documents.
- Training is provided to the candidates for option entry across all the available helpline centres.
- The last step is allotment of seats which is done as per the preferences of the candidate and availability of seats.
