What is new in RCET?
Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (RCET) is a private engineering college located at Bhilai and Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. It is managed by the Rungta Group Of Institutions (Santosh Rungta Group Of Institutions). Established in 1999, it is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, accredited by the NBA, and approved by the AICTE.
RCET mainly focuses on the area of Engineering and Technology along with a few other areas like Computer Application, Business Administration etc. The institute caters B.Tech program at the UG level. At the Master’s level, the institute offers M.Tech, MCA, and MBA. Further, the institute offers admission to 2 diploma courses and Ph.D program across 3 specializations
- Admission in B.Tech programme is done either by JEE or by PET Chhattisgarh.

- Candidates interested in MBA program have to appear in any of the entrance exams referred here: MAT, CAT, CMAT, XAT & ATMA. The candidates will be admitted judging the marks or rank obtained in the entrance exam.
- Admission to the MCA program is done on the basis of merit in the pre-qualifying examinations as well as PRE MCA examination / NIMCET.
- Selection of the Diploma courses will be based on the marks secured in the Pre Polytechnic Test (PPT).

- The admission in B.Tech is done on the basis of rank secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are only liable to apply for a B.Tech course in this college.

At the PG level, Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (RCET) offers a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in the area of Engineering and Technology. The duration of the program is 2 years.
Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech need to appear in the General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). RCET Bhilai MBA, MCA and Ph.D Admission 2023
In addition, the institute offers two PG-level programs like Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) to aspiring candidates. The duration period of the MBA and MCA programs is two years. Intake capacity depends upon the nature of specializations as opted by the candidates.
Also, the Institute offers admission to integrated MBA as well MCA courses. Admission to the courses will be merit-based.
Candidates who have studied and passed the Graduation level in the relevant discipline are eligible to apply for the above-mentioned courses in this college. In case, candidates fail to meet the eligibility criteria will be eliminated from the admission process.

There was no entrance examination for admission to this college. One can get admission into this college either on the basis of jee mains score or by percentage scored in class 12th. this college provides all types of scholarships to its students offered by the government. The college also gives Concessions in fees to those students who can not afford the fees.

Eligibility of this course as per the CGPET(Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test) for 2023 was around a minimum of 50 marks out of 150.
