Established in the year 2001, Pragati Engineering College is an autonomous institute in Surampalem, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. An AICTE-approved college, PEC has been accredited by the NBA, and rated by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade.
There are six specializations available under both the B.Tech and M.Tech courses that are taught here. If a student wants to apply for B.Tech, they need to have passed 10+2 in the Science stream, and taken either the AP EAMCET or JEE-Main. For M.Tech, a candidate must have a B.Tech degree with 50% marks and a valid GATE score card.
PEC has a well-qualified and experienced faculty. Many of the professors are PhD holders. Besides academics, the college also provides an opportunity to its students to join the National Cadet Corps.
PEC has a consistent placement record, with 592, 552 and 471 placements in 2019, 2018 and 2017, respectively. A majority of these have been secured by the ECE branch. The highest package offered was 1 million INR, by BJYU’S. The average package is 334,000 INR. Other recruiters include IB Hubs, DBS Bank, Opentext, Tata, and so on.
