Ans:The present infrastructure is developed in a 25 Acre campus with state of the art laboratory facilities, hostels, guest house, Canteen. It has 24x7 Wi-Fi and an ATM in lush green scenic ambience. The unique Kerala style architecture of the buildings makes it one of the best NIELIT Centres in the country. The center has 5 laboratories equipped with the systems and development tools in the fields of Embedded Systems, VLSI, Product Engineering, Information Technology, and Process Control & Instrumentation. The institute library has a huge collection of books in every field and are accessible to the students in addition to IEEE online journal access & NKN connectivity. National Institute of Electronic and Information Technology (NIELIT) Calicut is an autonomous body of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. It has 42 centres across the country fostering skill development in the field of Electronics and Information Technology. The Calicut campus, located in Kerala, was established in 1989.

NIELIT Calicut offers PG Diploma and Short term certificate courses both ranging four weeks to maximum six months. Admission to these courses are done on the basis of scores from the last qualifying exam. Upon fulfilling the minimum cut off set by the college, candidate will receive an intimation letter regarding their selection that will contain the vivid information regarding caution money payment details.

NIELIT Calicut offers a full-time M.Tech course in two specializations in recognition with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. Candidates who wish to pursue M.Tech should have a B.E./B.Tech degree in the concerned discipline.

Selection is done on the basis of GATE score. The merit list will be prepared for all the categories based on candidates’ marks. Candidates who clear the cut-off will be called for further interview round.

Preference shall be given to candidates who have a valid GATE score irrespective of the category.

Students can apply for PG Diploma courses online or by downloading the application form followed by submission to the Training Officer. Students are advised to follow the given steps:

Online Mode:

Students can apply online by visiting the official website of NIELIT, Calicut.
Pay INR 1000 towards Advance Deposit. If payment is made through DD, then the demand draft mentioning the student’s name and the course name should be forwarded to the Training Officer.

Offline Mode (through Application Form):

Download the application form from the official website and fill the particulars.
Send the duly filled form to Training Officer along with the requisite fee (through DD or online banking).

Online Mode:

Visit the official website of NIELIT Calicut
Register by clicking on ‘New User Sign up’ option in the new user section.
After completion of the registration process, a verification email and SMS will be sent to candidates’ email ID and mobile number.
Click on the ‘Confirm registration’ link.
Log in again to UG/PG admission portal by clicking on the ‘Registered User’ link.
In the ‘Registered User’ section, click on the ‘Apply Now’ tab.
Provide basic details like name, DOB, address, academic details and the category under which they are going to apply.
After entering the personal details, applicants are required to choose the course which they want to pursue according to their eligibility.
Applicants can choose more than one course at the time of application.
Upload the scanned copy of Photograph and Signature, fill the details asked in the application form and submit the same.
Pay the application fee of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST) online or by using SBI Collect facility.
