National Engineering College (NEC) is a public institution affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It offers full-time undergraduate courses in B.E/B. Tech and postgraduate courses in M.E/M.Tech.

NEC UG Admission 2023

NEC offers UG degree programs in B.E and B.Tech. The specializations are:

NEC PG Admission 2023

NEC offers PG degree courses in M.E and M.Tech. The specializations are:

M.E specializations in Computer Science and Engineering, High Voltage Engineering, Control and Instrumentation, Energy Engineering, Embedded Systems Technologies
M.Tech specialization in Information Technology (Information and Cyber Warfare)

Eligibility:

Candidates seeking admission in M.E/M. Tech must have graduated in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Selection Criteria:

The selection to the M.E/M. Tech program is done on the basis of the marks obtained in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET).

NEC Application Process 2023

Admission for both UG and PG courses are done in two parts- Government quota and Management quota.

How to Apply?

The admission enquiry form 2022-2023 has been made available to the candidates on the official website.

Candidates are required to fill in the application form with their personal details, mentioning the desired course. Mention if you are seeking admission under Regular, Lateral entry, or First Year.
Candidates will be contacted by the college after the successful submission of the enquiry form.
The cut-off for the entrance examinations will be mentioned and the eligibility will be decided based on the same.
Once the results are published, Anna University will conduct single-window counselling on behalf of the state.

Glimpse of NEC

Remarks:

There is no entrance examination for the NEC and mark-based counseling will be conducted and merit based selection is done and management seat areas are also available. I got through merit by attending counseling at Chennai. Eligibility is 10+2.
