Lakshmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT) offers a number of courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, as well as Diploma courses. Admissions currently operates in 13 different departments. Admission to the courses offered at this college are conducted on the basis of both Entrance and Merit.

Admission to BE is on the basis of scores in JEE Main along with scores in 10+2 in PCM.
M.Tech admissions are based on scores in GATE and BE/B.Tech degree.
Diploma admissions are merit based, that is scores obtained in +2.
Counselling for all the courses offered at LNCT is conducted by DTE MP Counselling.

LNCT was established in 1993 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is one the most prestigious Engineering colleges in the state. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal.

LNCT is the first self financed college in MP, with an ISO 9001:2000 certification for the same. The BE courses in four disciplines have been provisionally accredited by the NBA.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying to this course are required to meet the following criteria:

Applicants are required to have passed 10+2 with minimum 45% marks from a recognized University/Board. Candidates must have taken Physics & Mathematics as core subjects along with Chemistry /Biotechnology /Biology as vocational subjects.
SC/ST/OBC category candidates from Madhya Pradesh are required to have scored 40% in the qualifying examination.

Selection Criteria

Selection to this course is conducted on the basis of the candidate’s score in the JEE Main examination. Allocation of seats for this course is as follows:

75% of the total seats are reserved under State Quota for students who are residents of the state of MP.
10% of seats are offered to students under All India Quota. Admission is conducted on the basis of the JEE Main examination.
15% of the seats are reserved for candidates under the Management Quota. Admission for this quota is conducted on the basis of the JEE Main examination.

When the three are compared, Truba falls far short of LNCT and UIT. Because LNCT is a private institution and UIT is a government institution, it is recommended that you attend UIT. The reason for this is that it is always preferable to study in a government college rather than a private one. Private institutions charge exorbitant tuition fees, and if you are not a local, you may have debts for room rent, bills, and food, amounting to around 5 lakh or even more for a graduate-level course. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee you a placement. At UIT, you must keep yourself good enough academically to find a seat on campuses that will keep you on track to work hard and earn a first-class degree.

LNCT is recognized by AICTE and NBA and is affiliated under Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. It is ranked 251 among top institutes for BTech among NIRF 2020 Rankings. In 2019-20, a total of 964 students were placed in top companies. UIT RGPV Bhopal has highly experienced faculty members most of them being PhD holders from institutes like IITs and NITs. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidiyalaya (RGPV). Admission Details Students must have secured 60% marks in their 10+2 qualifying exams with a valid score in JEE Main for BTech admission.
