Gaya College of Engineering has 5 departments to offer 4 specializations in B.Tech/B.E. program with an intake capacity of 60 students in each department. Admission to the courses is based on the merit of the Entrance Examination conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. The same exam is applicable for B.Tech Lateral admission.

Located in Gaya, Bihar, the college is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University in Patna. The former name of the college was Magadh Engineering College. However, it got its name Gaya College of Engineering in the year 2008. All the courses of Gaya College of Engineering are AICTE approved.
