The course fee is high but the quality of education and the culture on campus make up for it. Along with theoretical knowledge, you will get to learn the practical aspects of each subject.
The placement record for the institute is great. In 2021, the highest CTC offered in the placement drive was 19 LPA.
If you are interested in CSE and have a flair for coding then GITAM will be the better option.
Among these, REVA University, Bangalore will be the best option. Compared to the other colleges, it has better faculty placement and facilities.
REVA University BCA fees are INR 2.55 LPA. According to the placement highlights of BCA, around 89% of students get placed each year with salary packages in the range of INR 3-4 LPA. Companies like Wipro, and TCS recruit from the college. BCA students sit for placement with 500+ Computer Science students, so the competition is tough.
PES(People Education Society) and GITAM(Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management) is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. These colleges outshine each other in all fields whether it is academics, placement, hostel facilities. According to NIRF ranking, 2020 GITAM and PES stands at 71st position and 149th rank respectively.
Both the colleges offer Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate courses. But, GITAM offers some additional courses like management and law. Here is some of the important information about the two institutes.
Admission:
For admission into GITAM, students need to appear for the GAT exam for BTech, GSAT for Science, and GLAT for the law courses. Eligibility is 10+2 with 60% aggregate in science stream. The application fee is INR 800.
For admission into regular courses at PES University, students need to appear for the PESSAT/CET exam. Eligibility is 10+2 with 45% aggregate in the science stream. The application fee is INR 1050.
GITAM has a total of 2300 seats and PES has 1500 seats.
Faculty:
Both the colleges have experienced faculties guiding them during their course of study whether it is research and development, academics, placement activities. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and are working on many government-funded projects.
Facilities:
PES University is spread over a lush 25 acres, which include a central library, 24*7 medical center, cafeteria, hostels, and stationery shop.
GITAM has more than one campus and offers home-like space to its students whether it is a mess or well-ventilated hostel rooms. The hostel has a total of 2300 seats.
Course fees:
Both colleges have designed the fee structure according to students' academics and facilities provided. PES has a higher fee structure compared to GITAM.
BTech GITAM charges INR 2.42 lakh per year and PES INR 3.3 lakhs per year.
Placement:
In the recent placement activity, a total of 300 companies visited GITAM for the drive. TCS was the major recruiter by choosing 755 engineering students. A total of 1921 students were selected from on-campus placement.
The highest package offered at PES University was INR 48 LPA, and the median salary was INR 7 LPA. More than 50 companies visited the colleges for the placement drive.
Scholarships for various categories are provided by both the universities. Students can choose any of the ones depending on their preferences. PES and GITAM are among the reputed colleges in India which is evident from its national rankings.
