Don Bosco Institute of Technology Admission 2024 is open for various courses. Students with valid MHT CET scores can apply for counselling for B.Tech admission. MHT CET 2024 counselling registration will begin from July 10 at cetcell.mahacet.org.

Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla, Mumbai, was established in 2001 by the Bombay Salesian Society as a "Religious Minority" institute. Affiliated to the University of Mumbai it has nearly two decades of successfully training technical professionals in a course curriculum approved by the AICTE. With a NAAC grade of B++ DBIT, Kurla proves that it is an institute dedicated to providing the best education to its students. DBIT offers a B.Tech course in 4 specializations at UG level and MMS course with 5 departments at the PG level.

The selection at DBIT, Kurla is based on the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the DTE of Maharashtra. Candidates must appear for the MH-CET and based on their performance on the test, candidates are assigned colleges in the counseling. Thus, those aspiring to apply at DBIT must secure an appropriate rank in order to be able to apply at DBIT through counseling. They can also apply through JEE Mains counselling. 

Selection for the MMS course, the selection is based on merit, i.e. on the score and rank obtained on a centralized entrance exam like CAT/CMAT, thus aspirants must have a high score in such exams in order to be selected.

How to Apply?

For B.Tech:

  • Candidates must register for the MHT-CET and appear for the examination.
  • After the result declaration of  MHT-CET aspirants must then be allotted DBIT based on the CAP.
  •  These candidates then must visit the college office and obtain the application form.
  • The application form along with application fee of INR 1000 and the following documents must be submitted to the college office:
    • CAP allotment letter.
    • MHT-CET admit card.
    • 10th and 12th Marksheet.
    • Aadhar card.
    • Domicile Certificate
    • Caste Certificate
    • Transfer Certificate
    • Proof of Christian Minority(If Applicable)

They can also apply through JEE counselling held every year after giving the entrance exam of JEE Mains.

For MMS:

  • Aspirants must visit the college website at http://admission.dbimr.org/  and fill in the application form.
  • After that, candidates must then print out the application form and sign it. 
  • The application form along with application fee of INR 1000 and the following documents must be submitted to the college office:

    • Bachelor's Degree mark sheet.
    • 10th and 12th Marksheet.

DBIT has a dedicated placement cell committed to providing the best job opportunities to its students. It conducts training sessions to impart various skills to their students like communication skill training, aptitude training, mock GD sessions, etc.

Ans. DBIT, Kurla is a minority institute, i.e. it is established and run by a minority community, thus by the Constitution of India they have the right to provide a bigger no. of the seats to the given minority which they belong to which in case of DBIT is Roman Catholic.

Ques. Which entrance exam do you have to appear for to apply for the MMS course?

Ans. To be eligible for the MMS course at DBIT, aspirants must appear for any management centralized entrance exam like CAT, GMAT, XAT, etc as long as they have an eligible score they can apply for the course.

Ques. Is it mandatory to be Roman Catholic to attend DBIT?

Ans. No, it is not necessary to be a Roman Catholic in order to attend DBIT, 49% of all seats are unreserved and are available to all candidates through Maharashtra CAP.

Most of the children’s choice will be engineering after their 12th grade. At that point, St. Francis Institute of Technology and Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai belong to sister concerns. Both the colleges are approved by AICTE and come under Mumbai University affiliation. St. Francis provides several scholarships to the minority community students when Don Bosco reserves 51% of seats for the minority community (Roman Catholic Community).
