Don Bosco Institute of Technology BE/Btech admission 2024 is done through the MHT CET exam. The tentative MHT CET dates 2024 have been announced. The online application form will be released in March 2024. The MHT CET 2024 exam is to be held from April 16 to May 2, 2024.


Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) is a private engineering college situated in Kurla (West), Mumbai affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The engineering college was established in 2001 by the Bombay Salesian Society and offers various programs under the UG and PG level.

DBIT Mumbai offers a B.E. course under 4 specializations. Candidates should have qualified 10+2 to be eligible for admission to B.E. The admission is done on the basis of score in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main and Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET).

Candidates can register for the JEE counseling procedure after the declaration of the result.

At the PG level, the institute offers an MMS under five specializations. Admission to the program will be granted on the basis of a Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET followed by counseling. The MHT-CET Counselling will be organized in online mode.

DBIT Mumbai B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) or secured top 20 percentile in the Class 12th exam conducted by the respective board to be eligible for admission.
  • A valid score in JEE (Main).

DBIT Mumbai B.Tech Selection Criteria

Admission will be done on the basis of candidates’ scores in JEE Main or MHT CET. JEE is a two-tier examination (Main & Advanced) regulated by CBSE Board. MHCET is a state-level entrance test organized by the Government of Maharashtra. 

Candidates can register for the counseling procedure after the declaration of the result.

Candidates will be called for the JEE Main counseling procedure as per their rank obtained in the merit list. JEE Main Counselling will start from the first week of July. Counseling will be handled by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA).

DBIT Mumbai MMS Selection Criteria

Admission will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Entrance Exam.

  • CET Marksheet/Scorecard
  • Statement of marks of Std. X & XII examinations
  • Statement of marks of all semesters of Degree Examination (i.e. the Qualifying Examination).
  • Convocation Degree Certificate/ Passing Certificate
  • School Leaving Certificate, if required to substantiate a claim
  • College Leaving / Transference Certificate from the college last attended by the Student (to be submitted within 15 days of admission)
  • Certificate of Work Experience/ Achievement/ Award etc.
  • Physical / Medical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner (original copy only)
  • Two copies of Passport size color photographs
  • Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate.

How to Apply for DBIT Mumbai?

Students have to apply for the CET via their respective websites to take admission in DBIT Mumbai.

To register for MHCET, candidates have to visit the official website and do the following:

  • Click “Registration" and fill in the online form.
  • The information to be provided includes personal details such as name, email id, mobile number, course, etc.
  • Candidates then need to upload a recent passport size photograph and signature.
  • Applicants will be prompted to enter his/her valid email id, mobile No. and a password on the first login and these must be carefully noted and retained for all future correspondence with MHCET Office.
  • After the successful conduct of the MHCET exam and the release of results through counseling, the candidates will be allotted seats at various colleges as the availability of seats.

The candidates can also prefer getting admitted to DBIT through the CAP process.

After being accepted, follow the procedure mentioned below to confirm the admission to First Year Engineering:
