B.Tech. program in five specializations is offered by DIET and the minimum eligibility to apply in four-year program is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) from a recognized board.
Candidate applying for the program should appear in state-level entrance exam AP-EAMCET conducted by Andhra Pradesh Council of Higher Council to be eligible to apply for B.Tech. course. Seats will be alloted based on counselling conducted by DTE, Andhra Pradesh.

Key Points for B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission:
- 10% of total seats are allotted to students who apply for lateral entry directly in 2nd year of B.Tech. program.
- Diploma or B.Sc. degree holders can apply directly for second year of B.Tech. course.
- Candidate can also seek direct admission to second year of B.Tech. program through management quota or government quota AP-ECET counselling.
