College of Engineering and Management Kolaghat BTech admissions are based on WBJEE Score/ JEE Main Score. The application process for WBJEE has commenced on December 28, 2023. College of Engineering and Management is a government-aided engineering college located in Kolaghat, West Bengal. CEMK was established in the year of 1998 with support from WBPDCL (West Bengal Power Development Corporation).

The institute offers six B.Tech courses, to be eligible for the same, the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification with a minimum of 45% marks in PCM. Admission to the B.Tech. program will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in JEE Main or WBJEE followed by a counseling session conducted by WBJEEB.

The institute also offers direct admission through decentralized counseling. Admission via lateral entry is also applicable based upon the score secured in WBJEE.

CEMK Kolaghat B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2021. There is no upper age limit.
Candidate must have passed Qualifying Examination i.e. H.S. (10+2) examination with Physics and Mathematics, along with anyone of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subject with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode.
Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserve category e.g. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC- B, PwD) in the above three subjects taken together.
Must have passed English in the H.S. (10+2) Examination with at least 30% marks.
The Board of the said Qualifying Examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned.

Admission through on-line counseling:

Candidates, who have qualified in the JEE (Main)-2021 / WBJEE-2021 IIT-JEE (Main) examinations and have been allotted a seat in this college by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board through on-line counseling, will have to report to the College office at Kolaghat for admission within the stipulated time as per WBJEE guidelines.

Ques. Are the courses accredited by AICTE?

Ans. Yes, the course of bachelor of technology in all the specializations are AICTE accredited. Moreover, two branches Mechanical and Computer Science are NBA accredited also.

Ques. Does scholarships are provided by the college?

Ans. No, college itself does not provide scholarships. But students of this college get some relaxation by West Bengal Free ship Scheme (WBFS) whose annual family income must not be more than Rs.2.50 lakhs.
