Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Amritsar was established in the year 1988 by Govt. of India for providing Training and Technical Services to plastics and allied industries in the Northern region of the country. CIPET, Amritsar is a public institute which is located in Amritsar, Punjab. This pioneer institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The institute is also recognized by BIS & NABL to undertake testing and quality assurance assignment as per standards.
CIPET Amritsar offers B.E program at the UG level and M.Tech, M.E and M.Sc courses at PG level and Diploma programs at both UG and PG level.
- Candidates will be offered admission to various UG and PG programs in the institute based on a Joint Entrance Examination (CIPET JEE) to be conducted by the institute.
- Students seeking admission to BE program in the institute must have passed Class 12 examination in PCM with minimum 45% marks.
- The minimum eligibility to possess ME, M.Sc and M.Tech courses from CIPET, Amritsar is a Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Engineering with an aggregate of 55%.
- Students who wish to pursue PG diploma course from CIPET, Amritsar must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.
- Candidates aspiring to pursue Diploma course from the institute must have passed Class 10 or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board.
