Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering offers B.Tech course in six specializations. The college also offers admission to B.Tech program through Lateral Entry.
Minimum eligibility for admission is 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with at least 45% marks. Candidates applying for admission through Lateral Entry must have passed in Diploma in Engineering / B.Sc (Hons.) with 60% marks.
For admission to B.Tech program, applicants have to pass WBJEE entrance conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) or JEE Main conducted by CBSE.
Admission to second year B.Tech through Lateral Entry is done on the basis of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJELET).

Key Points:
- Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ ST category candidates in the eligibility criteria.
- Candidates applying for B.Tech program must have passed English subject in the HSC examination with at least 30% marks.
- In WBJEE exam, Paper- I consist of 75 questions for 100 marks and Paper II consists of 80 questions (40 each for Chemistry and Physics) for 100 marks.
- A candidate applying should have been born on or before December 31, 2001.
- There is no upper age limit for appearing in the WBJEE .
