Anjalai Ammal Mahalingam Engineering College located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. It is a private institute affiliated to Anna University. AAMEC has been approved by the AICTE and accredited by the NBA. The institute has a faculty strength of 105, including 13 PhD holders.

AAMEC offers eight specializations across two courses: B.Tech and MCA. For admission to B.Tech, a candidate needs to score 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together in 10+2; for selection, they have to go for TNEA counselling.

How to apply for TNEA?

Candidates who are eligible for admission to the B.Tech course have to undergo TNEA counselling. The registration process for it is described underneath:

1. Visit the Anna University website and fill out the registration form for TNEA.
2. A fee will be charged, which has to be paid online.
3. Fill out the application with care. Incorrect or incomplete data will result in the candidate’s application being rejected.
4. Take out a printout of the application form and send a copy to the Director of Admissions of Anna University.
5. After the merit list is declared, candidates have to download the counselling call letter and visit the counselling venue with the necessary documents and a demand draft of 5,000 INR.
6. After all processes are completed, an allotment order will be handed to the applicant. At this stage, the counselling fee has to be paid.
7. The candidate has to report to their college and submit the allotment order to confirm their admission.

Candidates who are eligible for admission to MCA have to take the TANCET. To apply, follow the steps given below:

1. Visit the website of Anna University.
2. Click on ‘TANCET 2021 Registration’.
3. Enter your name, date of birth, email ID and password to generate ID and password.
4. Log in again. This time, fill out the TANCET Application Form for 2021.1.31
5. Upload a recent coloured passport size photograph.
6. A fee of 600 INR (300 for SC/ST belonging to Tamil Nadu) will be charged, which can only be paid online.
7. After submitting the form, note down the application number that is auto-generated.
