Amrita School of Engineering offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree programs in various disciplines. The B.Tech. degree is offered for a duration of four years. The college also provides B.Tech degree under lateral entry.

The university conducts Entrance Examination every year on all India basis for admission to the four-year B.Tech. degree programs offered in the three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore). This examination is referred to as Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering, in short as AEEE

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of B.Tech. programs through counselling, based on their ranks in the AEEE.

Amrita School of Engineering offers post graduate courses in the field of Science and Technology.

The M.Tech course is offered under 18 different specializations and the M.Sc program is provided under five different specializations. The duration period of all the Master degree programs is two years

Admission to the M.Tech program is done through an interview conducted by the University.

Direct admission for GATE qualified students (No interview)

Only Non-GATE students will attend the interview at their respective campuses. Interview invitation letters will be emailed to short-listed Non-Gate students.

For admission to the M.Sc program, selection is based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and performance in the Interview.

Amrita School of Engineering (ASE) Coimbatore Integrated Admission 2023

In addition to the two-year M.Sc program, the college also offers five-year Integrated programs in the fields of Arts and Science. The Integrated M.Sc program is offered under three specializations. The Integrated M.A program focuses on English Language And Literature.

In order to get admission to the Integrated M.Sc program, candidates need to pass 10+2 level examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks from any State Board or CBSE/ISC or equivalent. For the Integrated M.A program, candidates need to pass 10+2 standard examination or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate and a minimum of 60% marks in English.

Selection to the five-year M.A and M.Sc programs is based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and performance in the Interview.

At doctoral level, Amrita School of Engineering offers Ph.D degree programs to the research aspirant students. The Ph.D program is offered with multiple disciplines of Engineering. The doctoral program takes three to six years to complete the duration period.

In order to seek admission, eligible candidates will have to go through a screening test and personal interview conducted by the University.

Those candidates who qualified CSIR/UGC JRF or GATE are exempted from screening test, they can directly appear for the interview

After filling up the form, choose the mode of payment– Online (Net Banking/ debit/credit card) or Offline (by way of demand draft for Rs. 1000/- in the name of “Amrita School of Engineering,” payable at “Coimbatore” for completing the submission of the online application)

Among these, Manipal University is better for CSE. It offers good facilities to CSE students. The faculties of the department are well-experienced and cooperative. Manipal has a good placement record. Top MNCs like Microsoft, Google hire students through the campus drive. As per the recent placement highlights, Manipal University CSE average package is around INR 7.50 LPA.

MSU BARODA offers biotechnology (via JNUCEEB entrance). They also provide medical biotechnology and biostatistics services. It is a government agency. Fees range between INR 18.18 K and 2.46 L. Because Amrita School of Biotechnology is a private institution, the fee structure differs. Fees range between INR 1.86 lakh and INR 2.86 lakh. Both institutions have excellent faculty and facilities. Both institutions have a good reputation. The overall NIRF ranking of MSU is 151 whereas the Amrita School of Biotechnology is 16. Biotechnology placements are extremely rare. But after MSc from MSU, most of the students go for Ph.D. in USA / Germany / UK. However, after earning an MSc from Amrita Vidyapitham, you must find work because you have already spent a significant amount of money. They do, however, provide good placements.
