Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have secured a minimum average of 45% marks in related subjects like PCM all together in Higher Secondary Examination for the general category.
- For the reserved category, the minimum cut off is 40% for Backward Class including Backward Class Muslims, Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe.
- Candidate must have an appropriate ranking scored in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Test.
Selection Process
There are two different application quotas in the college.
Government Quota
- Students have to appear for Anna University-TNEA test and secure a rank.
- The final merit list will be prepared by Anna University.
- Students will have to appear for counseling as per their rank on the list.
- Students have to declare their choices of colleges and streams of studies and their final allotment order of college & stream will be finalized in the counseling session.
- As per the allotment details, students allotted with ACET College with any of the streams it offers now have to meet the Principal of the college with the allotment order for further application procedure to finish accordingly.
Management Quota
- Candidates must appear in the Common Entrance Examination conducted by the consortium of all self-financing Engineering colleges and secure a score accordingly.

How To Apply?
TNEA Application Process
Eligible students can apply for TNEA by following the given steps for registration, with a fee of INR 500 (for general category) and INR 250 (for reserved category):
- Visit the official website of TNEA and click on the “Online Registration” link.
- Candidates need to first register by creating a login ID and password through an OTP verification.
- After the registration, candidates can log in with their username and password.
- Candidates will have to fill in personal details, academic qualifications, etc.
- After filling the application form online, candidates can preview the details entered.
- The application form should be submitted along with the fee and a printout should be taken.
Government Quota
- After securing an allotment rank in counseling, candidates seeking Admission in any streams of UG Programmes in ACET college under the Government Quota, have to send the ‘Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Application Form’ duly filled to The Secretary, Engineering Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 25.’
- The candidates have to fill up the college application form and submit along with all the necessary testimonials duly organized.
- The candidates are required to submit the fees in due course and opt for any financial help or scholarships available as applicable to them.
Management Quota
- ACET College will issue a specific information slip regarding the application through Management Quota.
- A candidate wishing to get admission via this quota has to fill up the information slip to apply.
- Candidates should submit the filled up information slips to the Admission Officer within the stipulated time period with an attested set of photocopied mark sheets of qualifying examinations duly signed by a Gazetted Officer.
- All students will get the application form for the college admission and application form for the Common Entrance Examination. Candidates wishing to get admission must clear the entrance examination.
- Selected Candidates will be offered with call letters and those candidates shall meet the Principal of ACET College along with the call letter.
- The candidates are now required to fill the college application form and submit the form along with all the necessary testimonials and fees
