AALIMEC offers 4-years full-time B.E. course in six specializations. Applicants who have completed 10+2/ HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination with physics, chemistry, and mathematics/ vocational subjects from a recognized board/ university are eligible for admission to B.E. course.
Also, candidates who have completed Diploma in Engineering/ Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or have a BSc. with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the graduation level are eligible for admission to second year of B.E. (Lateral Entry).
Admission of the candidate is done on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) conducted by the Anna University. Candidates who have their name listed in the rank list of TNEA prepared by normalizing the marks obtained in 10+2/ HSC or its equivalent examination are eligible to participate in the counselling process.

Key Points for Admission:
- Candidates are given admission through TNEA and are given reservation as per the rules prescribed by the admission committee.
- Applicants who belongs to SC/ ST/ OBC/ BC-Muslim/ Open Competition/ MBC-DNC/ SCA are facilitated with reservation scheme of the Institute.
- Candidates of General category should have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination, while the candidates of OBC/ MBC/ DNC/ SC/ SCA/ ST category must have obtained minimum 40% marks to become eligible for TNEA.
