Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), was established in 1960 in Ranchi, Jharkhand and is affiliated to Ranchi University.
RIMS Ranchi offers MBBS course at the UG level and various PG Diploma, MD, MS, DM and M.Ch. at the PG level. All the courses are recognized by Medical Council of India.
The annual intake into MBBS Course is 150 seats and into PG specializations is 162 at RIMS, Ranchi.
- Candidates should have completed 10+2 from any recognized board in Biology/ Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry subjects with 50% aggregate marks for admission into MBBS course.
- Admissions into MBBS course is offered through Jharkhand Common Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE) and also through NEET.
- 15% of students are selected from NEET and 85% students are selected from JCECE.
- The minimum eligibility criteria for admissions into PG Diploma, MD, MS, DM courses is MBBS from a recognized university.
- Admissions into PG Diploma, MD, MS, DM courses are also done through JCECE.
