One of my friends graduated from Kalinga Institute of Medical Science. According to him, It is good as an emerging private medical college. Let me share his experience, which will give you a clear idea.
- KIMS is one of the cheapest deemed universities with fees of 12 LPA.
- The patient flow has drastically increased from my friend’s first year to her internship.
- The colleges work fine for decent medical studies but mind you most of the studies are done by the students themselves. So you might have to put in the extra effort.
- The central library is a 3 story building having many books. It also has 2 reading rooms.
- There are sports complexes which have a gym with trainers, a swimming pool, badminton courts, basketball courts, table tennis, and lawn tennis.
- There are sports grounds for playing football and cricket.
The management is a bit disorganized and there is no stronger student body. The teachers are nice but vary according to the department. The clinical exposure is appropriate for a private college.
