Latest Update: NIPER Mohali is inviting applications for admission to its PhD Program in various disciplines for the academic session 2023 (July Session). Interested candidates can apply for the admission process by submitting their applications till May 16, 2023.

After the application process, the NIPER Mohali will conduct the entrance exam for applicants on June 23, 2023. The admit card for the same will be released on June 10, 2023. The result for NIPER Mohali PhD Entrance Exam 2023 will be declared on June 20, 2023.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali offers doctoral courses in Chemical Sciences, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. NIPER Mohali offers a total of 9 courses under its PhD program. The course work is divided into 4 years and further divided according to the course selected.

• The PhD program is divided into 3 categories: Chemical Sciences, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences which is further divided into 9 courses namely Natural Products, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacoinformatics, Process Chemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmacy Practice, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Analysis.
• The minimum requirement to apply for a PhD at NIPER Mohali is a master’s degree in a relevant subject.
• However, NIPER JEE is conducted along with group discussions and personal interviews for the selection process. The nature of the PhD program is full-time.

NIPER Mohali PhD Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must full fill the following criteria:

• Applicants must have completed their M.S.(Pharm)/ M.Pharm. / M.Tech.(Pharmacy) or relevant discipline.
• Furthermore, applicants belonging to the General and OBC categories must have at least a 60% score in the qualifying exam.
• Physically Handicapped candidates must have at least a 55% score in the qualifying exam.

However, an additional round of group discussion and personal interviews is conducted after the qualifying written entrance test (NIPER JEE) for the selection process.

Steps to apply are:

1. Visit the official website (niper.ac.in) to apply for the courses.
2. Go to the Home Page to apply for the NIPER JEE application form.
3. Click on the application link and then the form will open on the new page.
4. Fill in the information required in the application form like personal details, contact details, educational information, etc. very carefully.
5. Pay the application fee (INR 3000 for General/OBC and INR 1500 for SC/ST) after filling out the application form.
6. Attach the required documents like passport size photographs, signature, etc in advised format and size as advised.

• 10th Marksheet/ Matriculation Certificate as proof of age and correct name.
• 12th Marksheet
• Mark sheets of all the semesters/years of the qualifying degree.

• Award letter (if any) of NET-JRF of CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR, DST, etc.
• Category certificate, if applicable.
• Caste Certificate, if applicable

• Sponsorship certificate from the employer in case of Government/Industry sponsored candidates
• Documentary proof in support of the NRI status.
• Attested copy of Aadhar Card
