VM Salgaocar College of Law was established by the Devi Sharvani Education Society, which is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. Earlier the college was known as the Mahadevrao Salgaocar College of Law, which was started in the year of 1973 with the generous donation from the side of founder but in the year of 1997 as per the decision of the Governing Council the name of the College was changed to V.M. Salgaocar College of Law. The college offers L.L.B., L.L.M., L.L.B. (Honors) and Doctorate programs to the students. The college also organizes orientation and refresher programs for faculty.
