NEF Law College is located in Guwahati, Assam. NEF Law College LLB and LLM Admission 2023

NEF Law College offers Law courses at UG and PG level. Three-year LLB is offered with a student intake of 240 seats, while two-year LLM is offered with 50 seats.

For LL.B, candidates must have passed 10+2 with 45% marks to be eligible for admission. For LLM, candidates must have an LLB/Integrated degree in Law with 50% marks to be eligible.

Admission to LLB is based on merit in the qualifying examination. Admission to LLM is based on a written test followed by Viva-Voce. The duration of LLM entrance exam is 3 hours. The test will be of 200 marks divided into 4 parts. Following is the detailed exam pattern:

Key Points:

  • Candidates appearing in their qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply.
  • At the time of LL.B admission, candidates’ age should not be more than 30 years for general category and 35 years for SC/ST/OBC categories.

NEF Law College BA-LLB, BBA-LLB & B.Com-LLB Admission 2023

NEF College also offers 5-year BA-LLB (120 seats), BBA-LLB (60 seats) and B.Com-LLB (60 seats) integrated courses. The minimum eligibility to apply is 10+2 or equivalent with 45% marks from a recognized board.

Admission to these courses is based on NLET, an entrance exam conducted by the college. The duration of NLET is 2 ½ hours and it consists of 182 questions with 1 mark each for every question. Here’s the detailed exam pattern:

NEF Law College Application Process 2023

Candidates wishing to apply for any of the courses provided by the college can do so by downloading the application form from the official website of the college. They can also obtain the form and prospectus from the college office or by post by sending a DD made in favour of “NEF Law College”, payable at Guwahati.

Following are the steps to download the form and apply for the courses:

  1. Visit the official website of the college.
  2. Navigate to ‘Admission’ tab on the menu bar.
  3. Click on ‘Form & Prospectus’ under ‘Download’ section.
  4. Click on the desired course’s form link.
  5. Download the form in the ‘PDF’ format.
  6. Fill the form correctly and submit the same to the college office.
  7. Application Fees: INR 500

  • 5 recent stamp size photographs and 2 self-addressed envelopes (for NLET candidates)
  • 10th and 12th examination Mark Sheets & Pass Certificate
  • Degree Mark-sheet & Pass Certificate

NEF Law College Scholarship

The college offers scholarships on the merit-cum-means basis to 5 meritorious students (1 female student). Also, there is a provision for waiving the tuition fee in case of the demise of a student’s parents. Students belonging to minority communities are also eligible for merit-cum-means scholarship scheme offered by Govt. of India.

Students from North-Eastern states of Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh are eligible for Post-Metric scholarships from their state governments. Assam Students belonging to SC/ST categories can also avail scholarships from Govt. of Assam.
