JSS Law College is an autonomous institute for legal studies in India, functioning under the direction of JSS Mahavidyapeeth. The college was established in the year 1982 and is located in the city of Mysore, Karnataka.
JSS Law College offers undergraduate (B.A. LL.B Hons, B.B.A. LL.B Hons and LL.B) and post graduate degrees (LL.M) in law, along with certificate courses in human rights, cyber law and medical jurisprudence. The degrees are given by the Karnataka State Law University, Hubli.
- Candidates who have acquired a minimum score of 45% (40% for reserved category) in their 10+2 examination are eligible for admission to the B.A., LL.B and B.B.A., LL.B courses.
- Those applying to the LL.B course must successfully complete graduation/post graduation from a recognized university with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category).
- For LL.M course, applicants must complete graduation in law with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) .
- Admissions to the undergraduate courses are entirely merit based.
- They are shortlisted on the basis of their academic performance post which they have to appear in front of an admission committee for screening.
- The admission committee takes into account LSAT-India sores for LLM programme .
- Candidates can apply online for the courses and also request for the application form and prospectus by sending a DD of Rs 300 in favour of The Principal, JSS Law College Autonomous payable at Mysore -570023, Karnataka.
- A self-addressed stamped cover of Rs. 50 must also be sent along with the form.
- Final selection of candidates is done of the basis of academic performance, LSAT scores (not mandatory) and interview by admission committee.
