GovindRamnathKare College of Law, Goa was established by VidyaVikasMandal because of the need for legal Education particularly in South Goa. The college was formed in the memory of Late. GovindRamnathKare. This college is the only institution providing professional legal eucationin south Goa by offering several undergraduate, postgraduate and integrated programmes and several diploma and certificate courses through its IGNOU law centre. The institute is situated at the beautiful scenic environment, providing a conducive atmosphere for learning. The institution has a distinguished and excellent track record and has also contributed to the society and community by providing proud alumni who occupy high positions in judiciary, bureaucracy , academics and corporate world. The college has the vision to be a centre of excellence providing quality legal educationand to develop professionalism with a social commitment and a mission to lead the way in legal education through innovative teaching and learning experiences and to create legal professionals with ethics and moral values.
