Government Law College (GLC) is one of the oldest law colleges of the State of Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), Chennai. The college offers admissions into three-year course of B.L., five-year course of BA B.L. and two-year course of M.L. with specialisation in Property Law.

The admission procedure for BA BL and BL in Government Law College shall be the same to be conducted by TNDALU.
- The selection of candidates is done as per academic merit of last qualifying examination and rules of reservation of Government of Tamil Nadu.
- To be eligible for BA BL, candidates must have passed in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with minimum 45% marks.
- For admission to BL, candidates must have completed three-year Bachelor’s degree in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern from Universities of Tamil Nadu.
- All eligible candidates shall be allotted seats on a merit-cum-choice basis.
- Admission seekers applying for the course in ML need to have BA BL or BL degree with minimum 50% marks in each year of the course.
- Applications shall be invited by TNDALU in offline mode and can be obtained personally or by post from the Registrar Office of the University or from the college itself.
- Admission to the BA BL and BL is done on the basis of academic merit through counselling.
- The candidates shall remit application fee through remittance challan in any branch of Indian Bank.
- The selection shall be affected on merit basis as per the reservation policy of the State of Tamil Nadu.
- The University website shall notify the dates and process for ML admissions in affiliated colleges.
