Army Institute of Law LLB Admissions 2023: AIL Mohali will be releasing an application form for admission to the LLB program soon. Candidates for furture details can check the official website @nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.


This institute offers 5 years of integrated UG Course BA-LLB course and one year PG Course Master of Law (LLM) course. 

  • Army Institute of Law (AIL) LLM Admission 2021 1st Counselling Date has been postponed for admission to LL.M. (One Year) program due to non-declaration of results of eligibility examinations held by the Universities. The new dates will be announced soon. Know More
  • To apply for these courses, the application mode is online.
  • The selection process will be based on the basis of Law Entrance Test conducted by Army Institute of Law Mohali.
  • To apply for BA LLB course, the student must have completed 10+2 exams from Punjab School Education Board or equivalent examination with at least 45% aggregate score are eligible to apply.
  • To apply for LLM course, clearance of either 5 years integrated UG Course BA LLB or 3 years LLB course with at least 55% aggregate score is required.
  • Students who are appearing for 10+2 exams can also apply for the entrance exam on a provisional basis.

AIL Mohali BA LLB Basic Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who have cleared 10+2 exams from Punjab School Education Board or equivalent examination (Except Bihar Education Board) are eligible to apply for this course.
  • Students who have cleared 10+2 exams from Open University without any basic qualification for pursuing studies are not eligible to apply.

AIL Mohali BA LLB Selection Criteria

  • The student must apply and appear for the AIL LET.
  • The allocation of seats is divided as follows :
    • 60 seats for students who are wards of army personnel will be done through entrance test
    • 4 seats will be allocated to students under the All India Category through the same entrance test.
    • 16 seats in the Punjab Category will be based on 10+2 merit.
  • The students of all categories who have appeared for the entrance exam will be called for counselling.
  • The admission is granted only after the document verification and counselling process is completed.
  • The decision taken by the institute is final.

AIL offers one year PG course Master of Law (LLM) course for students who hold an UG course in BA LLB or LLB with at least 55% aggregate score.

Students who hold an UG degree in BA LLB or LLB with at least 55% aggregate score are eligible to apply for this course.

Army Institute of Law LLM Selection Criteria

  • The student must apply and appear for the AIL LET.
  • The allocation of seats is divided as follows :
    • Some seats are reserved for those students whose parents have served for minimum 10 years.
    • Two seats are reserved for Punjab Resident Civil Category candidate and one seat is reserved for All India Civil Category.
  • The students of all categories who have appeared for the entrance exam will be called for counselling.
  • The admission is granted only after the document verification and counselling process is completed.
  • The decision taken by the institute is final.

How to Apply for Army Institute of Law?

The application process for both the courses must be done in online mode only. Follow these steps to apply :

  • The student must visit the official website of the institute.
  • Click the link provided, either for LLM or BA LLB.
  • Fill in the required information carefully.
  • An application fee of INR 3000 /- must be paid through online mode only.
  • A print out of the application form must be preserved for future reference.
  • The following documents must be produced during counselling for document verification :
    • Mark sheet and Passing Certificate of HSC (10+2) and SSC
    • Graduation Degree and Mark sheets of graduation course (for LLM course)
    • Character Certificate
    • Migration Certificate
    • Category Certificate (if applicable)
    • Medical Fitness Certificate
    • Willingness Certificate
    • An affidavit by Father/ Mother/ Guardian stating whether or not their ward has studied Punjabi at the Matriculation level
    • Eligibility Certificate (candidates passing HSC exam from other states except for Punjab, Haryana, and HP)
    • Passport size photographs - 12 numbers
    • One Photograph of Parents, Family Members & Local Guardians
    • Affidavit/Certificate for Punjab Resident Civil Category
