Qualification:
- Students must have completed the 12 years of education in terms of Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination.
- The last two years of study must comprising any of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with minimum 50% marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology together and 50% in Biology/Biotechnology separately.
- For students belongs to socially and educationally backward classes, the minimum marks required in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together and in Biology and Biotechnology separately is relaxed to 45% instead of 50%.
- For students belongs to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, the minimum marks required in qualifying examination in Physics, chemistry and biology/Biotechnology taken together is relaxed to 40%.
Eligibility Criteria for PWD Students:
- The eligibility criteria for admission to persons with locomotors disability of lower limbs (40 to 70%) will be relaxed up to minimum of 45% marks instead of 50% taken together in qualifying examination.
- Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University/ Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English will also be considered.
Age
- shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31stDecember of the year of admission to the BDS Course.
Nationality
- Candidates must be Citizens of India / children or dependents of Non Resident Indians. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO}/ Overseas Citizen of India [OCI] will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission. However JPIQ/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation.
Admission to all BDS seats is purely on the basis of merit. The criterion to prepare the merit list is by combining marks obtained by the candidates in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test [UG]?(NEET?UG] and the marks obtained by them for Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the qualifying examination. Only those candidates who secure eligible marks(specified by college) in the National Entrance Examination, NEET will be considered for admission to BDS course. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC will be considered for admission to this course only if they have scored a minimum of specified marks in the National Entrance Examination. Candidates with Locomotory disability of lower limbs between 40% to 70% will be considered for admission to BDS course only if they have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the National Entrance Examination (NEET UG).
