Important Updates for College of Dental Sciences

NEET UG 2024 will be held on May 5, 2024, for admission to BDS at CODS Davangere. NEET MDS 2024 will be held on February 9, 2024, for admission to MDS at CODS Davangere.

College offers admission to undergraduate program in BDS along with postgraduate course in MDS with nine specializations, a certificate course in Implantology and Ph.D. program.

Situated in Davanagere, College of Dental Sciences was established in 1991. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognized by Dental Council of India.

Application can be submitted offline along with the requisite documents.
Candidates having passed Karnataka II PUC examination or equivalent are eligible to apply for BDS program.
Admission to BDS is based on the Entrance test conducted by COMEDK/KCET.
Candidates who have appeared in state or national level CET may apply for MDS program in the College.
Admission to MDS is based upon the Combined Counselling for admission to PG courses organized by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
Apart from BDS and MDS courses, college offers one-year Certificate Course in Implantology to candidates who have BDS degree.

College of Dental Sciences Davanagere BDS Admission 2023

Selection of candidates to BDS program offered by College of Dental Sciences will be through COMEDK/KCET which will be followed by counselling.

The minimum eligibility to apply in this program is 50% aggregate in Karnataka II PUC Examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages. College has an intake of 100 students to BDS program.

Key Points:

Selection of candidates to nine disciplines in MDS program offered by CODS will be through COMEDK/PGET which will be followed by counselling. The minimum eligibility to apply is to have BDS from associate University recognized by Dental Council of India. It has a total intake of 47 students in different specializations.

Key Points for MDS Admission:

Minimum age limit to apply in MDS is 21-year.
Candidates having permanent registration from the state dental council are eligible for the program.
Candidates having 2-year PG Diploma recognized by Dental Council of India are also eligible to apply for MDS program.

To be eligible to apply for Ph.D. programs offered by College of Dental Sciences (CODS) applicants must have a postgraduate degree in relevant field. Final selection of candidates will be based on entrance test conducted by the RGUHS.
