At UG level, National Institute of Fashion Technology Raebareli offers a B.Design course in 4 specializations. Admission to the course is done on the basis of the NIFT entrance examination i.e. CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test). 

Each specialization has 38 seats for Indian students whereas 5 are for NRIs. B.Des is offered in the following specializations:

• Fashion Design (FD)
• Accessory Design (AD)
• Leather Design (LD)
• Fashion Communication (FC)

Eligibility

The eligibility for full-time B.Des is mentioned below: 

• Maximum age should be 23 years . The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories
• A passing grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School or any recognized board like CBSE/ State Board etc.  with a minimum of five subjects.

Selection Criteria

For candidates to the UG Design programs, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a Situation Test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the written examination. In case of foreign nationals, the candidate must have a valid SAT score for admission in B.Des.
