Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants was established as the Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organization (CIMPO) in 1959. It is also known as CIMAP and its research headquarter is situated at Sultanpur - Lucknow Road.
CIMAP is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India
CIMAP has four research centers situated in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar, and Purana. All of them/ CIMAP are engaged in the field of science and business of medical and aromatics plants.
The institute invites applications for admission to Ph.D courses under 6 specializations and students with postgraduate degrees in the relevant fields can apply for admission.
Selection will be based on the performance in CSIR UGC-NET.
