National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad, offers a 2 years and 5 months full-time Masters of Design course to the eligible candidates who have passed their bachelor's degree in various specializations. 

The 7 specializations which are provided by the Ahmedabad Campus, are Amination Film and Design, Ceramic and Glass Design, Furniture and Interior Design, Film and Video Communication, Graphics Design, Product Design, and Textile Design. 

The course has been divided into 5 semesters. The admission process is Online, and all the applicants must sit for the Design Aptitude Test. 

The selection of the candidates is based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination.

• The candidates must have a Full-time Diploma of minimum 4-year duration in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/ Architecture, after 12th standard or equivalent to 12th standard.

NID Ahmedabad, M. Des: DAT Exam Pattern

All the candidates must appear for the examination Design Aptitude Test (DAT), as an entrance test. The exam pattern of DAT Main and DAT Prelims is given below.

• Design Aptitude Test (DAT), is an Offline Exam
• The question paper consists of two sections, Section A consist of 59 Multiple Choice Questions, and Section B consists of 3 Subjective questions
• The duration of the examination is 150 minutes (2hours and 30 minutes)
• The question paper is of 100 marks and there is no negative marking for a wrong answer
• There is 60% weightage given to DAT Prelims and 40% weightage given to DAT Mains
