Eastern theological College, Jorhat is the only theological college in Jorhat. It has been playing a leading role in promoting theological education in the north-east region of India. Unity, Faith and service comprise the motto of the college. The college is centrally sponsored by CBCNEI (Council of Baptist Churches in North East India) and offers Bachelor of Divinity (2 yrs), Master of Theology (M.Th), Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) courses. The institution seeks to show the students the meaning of faith as a believer. The institute strives to maintain the unity of council of Baptist churches of North-east India by creating a sense of oneness and belonging in their students.

Why to join ETC?
- Women Study Centre: setup in 1996, the department is engaged with conducting seminars and workshops to impart basic biblical knowledge to the students. It also publishes books focused on women’s concern.
- Awards & Recognition: Various awards and prizes are provided to graduating talented students like book prizes, preaching prizes, music prizes, scripture knowledge prize, Etc prize etc.
- Guest House: The institute also owns a guest house with cafeteria, cheap rent, conference hall facilities which can accommodate about 80 people.
- College Diploma: other than B.D and M. Th. Courses, it also offers an extra diploma which is given to the student who complete B.D and M.Th and other extra courses offered by the college and certain factors which are taken into consideration.
