Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) is an integral institute of Aligarh Muslim University. The college was founded in the year 1938 under the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). ZHCET offers 29 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in distinct streams of engineering, technology, and architecture.

Selection of candidates to the institute courses is done based on candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination.
For undergraduate courses, candidates should have appeared in AMU Engineering Entrance Examination, and must have passed at the 10+2 level.
M.Tech program requires a minimum of 50% at the degree level in relevant stream.

ZHCET UG Admission 2023

Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) offers a number of courses at the undergraduate level, in the fields of engineering. Students seeking admission at this college can apply through the official website of AMU university or the institute itself. The second shift for B.E in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical courses are also offered to the students.

Admission to the B.Tech program is based on the performance of the candidate in the AMU Engineering Entrance Examination conducted annually, and the rank secured subsequently in the examination. Depending on the results of this examination, a merit list is prepared and the selected candidates are intimated regarding the details of the admission process.

The students applying for B.Tech and B.Arch courses should have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized board or possess diploma in Engineering.
Candidates should also procure minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
Candidates applying for B.Arch course should possess International Baccalaureate Diploma degree after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as the compulsory subject.

The AMUEEE or AMU B.Tech Entrance examination is conducted in different test centers over five states namely Aligarh, Lucknow, Bhopal, Srinagar, Kozhikode, and Kolkata.

The entrance examination centers for B.Arch are allocated within Aligarh.
Reservation is in accordance with the government regulations.
Admission is confirmed to the students only upon completion of the document verification and payment of required fee amount.

ZHCET PG Admission 2023

The college offers a number of courses at the postgraduate level in various fields of engineering. Those who wish to pursue M.Tech courses in this college can apply through the official website of the AMU University or at the institute itself.

Admission to the postgraduate courses is purely based on the merit in the qualifying examination. This includes academic performance at all levels up to the qualifying examination, particularly in that of the degree level. The course duration for the M.Tech full time courses is 2 years.

The basic eligibility requirement is a pass at the undergraduate level from any recognized university or college in the country. An engineering degree preferably in the relevant stream is a must.

Academic merit is the main deciding factor for the preparation of the final merit list.
Students shortlisted on the basis of their performance must appear in person for the final admission process.
Admission is confirmed only after finishing all the required processes, including document verification and payment of required fee amount.

Admission Procedure

To apply online for B.Tech/B.Arch, the applicant must log on to the official institute website and navigate to the Online Application Form Page.
For applying to B.Tech courses, AMU charges an amount of INR 550 as the required application fee.
In case of B.Arch, the students must submit an application fee of INR 650.
The candidates can submit the fee amount through cash at the Admission Section, Office of the Controller of Examination, AMU, Aligarh.
Application fee can either be paid through Debit Card or Credit Card or DD drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh”, payable at Aligarh.
