College of Engineering and Technology in Payyanur was established in the year 2011. The college is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

College of Engineering and Technology offers B.Tech degree course in four specializations and also a five-year degree course in Architecture (B.Arch).

  • Admission to B.Tech course is done on the basis of KEAM entrance examination conducted by Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
  • Minimum Eligibility for admission to B.Tech course is pass in 10+2 in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics with 45% marks (40% for SC and only pass for ST).
  • Eligibility for B.Arch course is HSC with minimum 50% marks with Mathematics as a subject or International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 year of schooling.  
  • Admission to B.Arch course is on the basis of NATA scorecard.
  • Candidates must score 40% or 80 out of 200 marks in NATA exam in order to be eligible for admission.
  • Admission to both the B.Tech and B.Arch course is on the basis of Centralised Allotment Process (CAP).
  • Of the total seats, 50% are filled through CAP and rest of the seats are filled by CEAT itself under Management quota.
  • The college also admits candidates in B.Tech Lateral Entry for which they must pass Diploma in Engineering with atleast three-year of duration and minimum 50% marks in the final year.
  • There is no lateral entry in B.Arch course.
  • Applicants must have completed 17 years as on 31st December on the year of admission.

College of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Courses Admission 2023

The college offers B.Tech degree in four disciplines. Minimum Eligibility for B.Tech courses is 10+2 or equivalent with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or equivalent subjects.

Candidates seeking admission through Lateral Entry must have passed Diploma in Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. Apply for UG Courses

Admissions to the state quota seats are provided by the KEAM conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE). In the remaining 50% of the management seats, 5% seats are filled under NRI quota on the basis of marks obtained for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th standard. Remaining 45% seats are given on the basis of merit by ranking applicants on the basis of marks obtained in HSC and Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination.

Key Points:

  • The Engineering Entrance Examination will be objective type and will have two papers- Paper I of Mathematics and Paper II of Physics and Chemistry.
  • Each Paper will have 120 questions to be answered in 150 minutes will be of two and a half hours duration.
  • Out of the total seats available for admission, 50% seats are filled under the state quota, 5% seats are reserved for NRI candidates and rest 45% seats are filled through Management Quota.
  • Candidates applying must be 17 years of age on December 31 of the year of admission.
  • Candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward will have a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination.

College of Engineering and Technology B.Arch Admission 2023

The college offers five-year Bachelor’s degree course in Architecture. Candidates applying must have passed Plus Two or equivalent examination from a recognized Board of Mathematics as a subject with 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates having International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 year of schooling in any stream with minimum 50% marks and Mathematics as a subject from a recognized institute are also eligible to apply.

Selection to the B.Arch course is on the basis of NATA score. Candidates must have scored 40% or 80 marks out of 200 in the exam. There is no relaxation in the minimum passing score of NATA to any category candidate. Apply for UG Courses

Counselling process for admission to B.Arch course on the basis of NATA score will be done by CEE, Kerala.

Key Points:

  • Applicant must be 17 years of age as on December 31 on the year of admission.
  • There is no provision for lateral admission to the second year or at any stage during the five-year course in Architecture.
  • Relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward classes) candidates whose annual family income does not exceed INR 4.5 Lakhs.

College of Engineering and Technology Application Process 2023

Candidates have to fill an online application form to apply for KEAM entrance exam. For B.Arch, candidate must apply for NATA entrance examination. Candidates who qualify the entrance examination must apply for CAP counselling conducted by CEE, Kerala.

The college offers offline mode of application to the candidates. Candidates can download the application form from the official website or application form can be obtained from the college office.

  • Fill the form carefully and submit it with Demand Draft in favour of ‘The Principal, College of Engineering and Technology’ payable at Payyanur.
  • Candidate can also obtain the application form from the college in person on payment by cash or by post on payment by DD.
  • Application Fees: INR 500 (in person) and INR 530 (by post)
