St. Thomas’ College, located in Thrissur, is an autonomous college, and is also known for being the oldest Catholic College in Kerala. The College is affiliated to the University of Calicut, and has 23 departments and 8 research centres.

St. Thomas’ College offers UG and PG level courses in under various specialization covering different aspects of arts, science, commerce and other professional streams. Admission to most of the courses are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam. However, for certain courses, the candidates need to appear in the entrance exam conducted by college.

Application process of the St. Thomas College generally begins in month of May every year. For UG courses, the last date for the receipt of soft copy of application form will be 15 days from the declaration of the result of the Higher Secondary Examinations of the Kerala State. St Thomas College UG Admission 2023

St Thomas College offers B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. courses under a number of specializations. B.A. is offered in two different subjects, whereas, B.Sc. is offered with eight different subjects. In addition, the college also offers B.Com in two subjects along with other specializations like BCA, BVC, BMMC, BBA, and B.Voc. All the UG courses offered are for a period of 3 years. Admission to the UG courses are based on merit of the students at 10+2 level. The last date for the receipt of application form will be 15 days from the declaration of the result of the Higher Secondary Examinations of the Kerala State.

For Admission in the B.A. Functional English, B.Com. Computer Application and B.Sc. Psychology, the candidates need to sit for an entrance test.

	Statistics	24	Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent examination with Mathematics group are eligible. Candidates who have studied Mathematics/Statistics etcwith other combination at HSE level are also eligible for admission.

Degree course. Candidates who have not take atleast one Commerce subject for Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination should get atleast 45% (in 6 subjects) in that examination to become eligible. A concession of 3 GPV will be given to OBC/ OEC candidates.

BVC	Visual Communication	30	Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with not less than 45% marks in aggregate shall be eligible for admission.
BMMC	Multimedia Communication	24
BBA	Business Administration	40	Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent examination thereto, with not less than 50% is eligible for admissions. A concession of 3 GPV will be given to OBC/OEC candidates. The SC/ ST candidates need get only a pass.
B.Voc.	Digital Film Production	50	Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with not less than 45% marks in aggregate shall be eligible for admission.

St. Thomas College PG Admission 2023

St.Thomas College also offers a number of PG courses under various specializations. All the courses are for a period of two years. The subjects available for post graduation courses are Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Electronics, English, and Economics. Apply for PG Courses

Admission to the PG courses are done on the basis of merit of the students at 10+2 level. However the college follows a different approach of admission for the courses mentioned below:

The selection to MSW will be based on qualifying examination marks, entrance test, group discussion and personal interview
The selection to M.Sc. Computer Science (Aided & Self Financing) will be based on qualifying examination marks & entrance test.
An entrance test shall be conducted for those candidates whose core subject is not English and are looking forward to pursue PG in M.A. English course.

Application Process

The application fees is Rs.150/- for General Candidates and Rs. 100/- only for SC/ST candidates including processing charge (Bank charges excluded).
The candidate needs to visit the official website - stthomas.ac.in and click on the link - “Admission 2021”. Then do fill in the application form with all the details required along with relevant scanned documents.
After entering all the data, the candidate can pay the fee either through online or chalan directly to the SBI Bank.
You need to take out a print out of the hard copy which needs to be only submitted at the time of interview and not before that.

Remarks:

The admission process was quiet swift and smooth. All the services were good. The application form and all related informations like admission fees and dates were all available at the main office. The eligibility for the course was plus two.

REVIEW ON ST THOMAS COLLEGE

Remarks:

I have been selected by my 12th eligibility and not by any entrance exam. We can apply for admission at the office in the main block. The details of the reservation and other benefits can be enquired at the office. The application fee is different for each course and can vary for SC/st category students. Also, the application dates will be published by the college authorities at the time before admission on the official website of the college.
