All about the magnificent Devagiri college!

What I Liked

Our college library is one of the positive aspects of the college. Its newly constructed. It has a great variety of books ranging from fiction to academics.
Our teachers are really supportive and helps us be the best.
Our classrooms are modern and digitalised. We have all the facilities to make it a good environment to study.

What I didn’t like

The college is really strict and students does not have the necessary freedom.
Examination is really hard and challenging.
I dislike the indoor education and prefers an outdoor approach.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement in 5th semester. I don't know much about the companies that offered placements as I am still in second year. Highest and average package according to me is 15 lakhs and 10 lakhsrespectively. In my department about 20 percentage students were placed and i plan to do masters degree after getting the degree.

Remarks:

I applied to another colleges in calicut university but when i got into devagiri college i cancelled all other options as devagiri college is one of the top colleges in kerala. We have admission based on merit and interview. Those who pass the above are rewarded admission. Overall admission procedure was great.

The beauty of Devagiri college

What I Liked

i like our school library very much. as a reader it was a blessing to have this library.
i love our teachers and their supportive nature. they are always here for us.
our classrooms are modern and digitalized making our studies easier.

What I didn’t like

I don't like that our classes are mostly indoor and i prefer outdoor approach.
our exams are very hard compared to other colleges.
our focus on artistic skills must be improved.

Placement Experience:

I dont know much details as i am in second year but students here are placed in companies a lot. highest and average packages is according to me 15 lakhs and 10 lakhs respectively.i think about 30 percentage students got placed last year and i plan to complete masters degree

Remarks:

I applied in calicut university affiliated colleges and i cancelled it after i got my admitted in devagiri college.devagiri college is my first choice as its one of the best colleges in india. our college admission in based on merit and interview and top students can easily get into it.

St Joseph's College, Devagiri: The beginning of success and prosperity.

What I Liked

I liked the college campus very much. The atmosphere here is very calm and peaceful. And greenary around here is very soothing and help you focus on your studies.
The unity among the students here is amazing. Everytime an event comes up, all of us join our hands to make it the very best.
The faculty and infrastructure is great here. And the newly built Library is mind blowing with its beauty and diversity.

What I didn’t like

I don't like the attendance system here. It's very exhausting.
I have to travel about 1 hour from home to school, it can be challenging at times.
The exams are very difficult and often evaluation is very tight.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement after 4th semester. Since I am in the third semester I don't know much about the companies visited and the no of offers made. I think highest package offered is 20 lakh per annum ( not completely sure). Last year about 28 students of my department got placed in several companies so percentage is high. I am not sure yet, I will either go for my master's in forensic science or try for campus placements.

Remarks:

This college was my first choice and I am grateful that I got into it. Our +2 marks is the parameter to get the admission and after that you'll have a short interview as well. Cut offs for my course is around 97 percentage.overall admission procedure was smooth and easy.I applied to other colleges in Calicut University as well but I didn't think about them when I got in here as St Joseph's College Devagiri is really good at everything.
