Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College Scholarships:

The SBSEC college honours students with Gold Medals, Silver Medals, and certain monetary scholarships to the meritorious students of the college in different categories:

Gold Medal for different categories:

• The Gold Medal is given to the best boy and girl student IIIrd year classes of the college. Condition to be fulfilled: For the purpose marks will be calculated out of 100 as follows: 30- Academics Performance (Ist, and IInd year annual performance and IIIrd year Home Examination marks or marks obtained in the corresponding semester examinations), 10- Attendance 10 – Debate, 10 – Cultural Activities, 10 – Sports Activities, 10 – NSS, 10 – NCC and 10 – Organizational Ability including students union / clubs / societies/ subject association. In case of tie overall behaviour / interview will determine the prize. Decision of the scholarship-Gold Medal committee of the Staff Council will be final and binding.
• Gold Medal is also awarded to the third year boy and girl student admitted on the basis of SC/ST concession. Condition to be fulfilled: Condition to be fulfilled: For the purpose marks will be calculated out of 100 as follows: 30- Academics Performance (Ist, and IInd year annual performance and IIIrd year Home Examination marks or marks obtained in the corresponding semester examinations), 10- Attendance 10 – Debate, 10 – Cultural Activities, 10 – Sports Activities, 10 – NSS, 10 – NCC and 10 – Organizational Ability including students union / clubs / societies/ subject association. In case of tie overall behaviour / interview will determine the prize. Decision of the scholarship-Gold Medal committee of the Staff Council will be final and binding.
• Students from each course are also awarded Gold Medals by the college. Condition to be fulfilled: To be awarded to a student who has passed a particular degree obtaining Maximum aggregate marks [Previous and Final year marks added together] but not less than 75%. If no student secures 75% marks then this medal will not be awarded but a Cash Prize of Rs. 4000 will be given.

Silver Medal for different categories:

Students of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College are awarded with Silver Medal. One Student from each course receives the Silver Medal. Condition to be fulfilled: To be awarded to a student who has passed a particular degree obtaining Second Highest aggregate marks [Previous and Final year marks added together ] but not less than 70%. If no student secures 70% marks then this medal will not be awarded but a cash Prize of Rs. 3000 will be given

Scholarship for different categories:

Students are awarded with scholarships worth Rs 3000 in different categories for obtaining highest marks in a particular semester or year in a particular course.
