Ques. How are the co-curricular activities of the college?
Ans. The college participated in the State Level Football Championship and promoted sports amongst it’s students as a major activity. Along with that, the college has a huge playground enabling the students to play sports of various kinds and learn the spirit of sportsmanship. The college’s NCC National Cadet Corps and NSS National Service Scheme wings are also very active with 100 volunteers for each wing.
Ques. Does the college have hostels?
Ans. Yes, the college provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls (under construction) with proper meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the hostels are well-built with 24/7 supply of clean water, electricity, ventilated and spacious rooms given on sharing basis. The building of the hostel is in close vicinity to the main college building so that the students can save up on any unnecessary transportation time.
Ques. What all facilities are available on the campus of the college?
Ans. The college has a big library, cafeteria, canteen, computer labs and Wi-Fi enabled campus. The college has a playground wherein students can play various sports like cricket, football, basketball etc. It also has a huge conference hall wherein workshops and seminars can be held and guest lectures can be conducted. The college also provides parking facility for both the faculty as well as the students.
Ques. Does the college have any anti-ragging committee?
Ans. Yes, the college has an Anti-Ragging committee which looks into the safety and security of students in the campus. Complaints are taken very seriously and are dealt with on an urgent basis. Strict action is taken against those found guilty, with punishments ranging from monetary penalty, suspension or even rustication, depending upon the situation and condition of the victim student.
Ques. Is there any minimum attendance criteria in the college?
Ans. Yes, the students ought to have minimum 75% attendance, failing to which they will be debarred from writing the examinations as per the orders from Supreme Court. Students are strictly prohibited from the examinations in case they fall short of attendance. No leniency can be expected in case of shortage of attendance. Hence, students must ensure that they maintain their attendance regularly right from the beginning of the semester.
