Admission to Newman College, Thodupuzha will be conducted on the basis of CAT MGU followed by PGCAP as conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University.

Admission procedure for undergraduate and postgraduate courses is as under:

• Applications can be submitted online on https://www.mgu.ac.in within the stipulated time.
• Submit the counselling fee due to University (General Category – INR 853, SC/ST candidates INR 50) through debit/credit cards or net banking.
• Applicants who got allotted through CAP should download "Allotment Memo" through the website.

Documents to be submitted at the time of Admission

1. Original Mark Sheets.
2. T.C (Original)
3. Copy of S.S.L.C/C.B.S.E/I.C.S.E/Degree mark list.
4. Conduct certificate (Original)
5. Community Certificate (for SC, ST, OEC) from Tahsildar.
6. NCC/NSS/Sports certificate
7. Eligibility Certificate.

Application for admission to Community Quota, Management Quota, Sports Quota / Cultural Quota / Persons with Disabilities Quota will be available from the College Office and the rank lists for admission in Sports/ Cultural / Persons with Disabilities Quotas will be published in the College.

Candidates will be required to attach the following documents along with the application form: 

• PG Degree
• Consolidated P.G. Mark Sheet
• Caste Certificate for SC/ST candidates
• Certificate from the Head of the Institution regarding the appearance of final P.G. Examination (for those awaiting P.G. Degree results)
• Eligibility Certificate

Newman College offers BA program in 5 specializations where seats vary to 24-60 from discipline to discipline.

Selection Process: BA admission will be granted on the basis of Merit of the last qualifying examination as per UGCAP. UGCAP is a centralised seat allocation process as conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University.
